Addressing Foundation Challenges with Ductile Iron Piles
Engineers and contractors are constantly faced with finding solutions on challenging sites . This task becomes increasingly more difficult when faced with construction scenarios including constrained site access , building additions , vibration concerns , overhead clearances and other factors that often limit the use of many common foundation solutions . This presentation features a detailed discussion about the Ductile Iron Pile system – a low vibration , modular driven pile used on many projects to address these practical challenges . The presentation describes design , construction , and application of the system through local New England case histories . Finally , the presentation will highlight how the Ductile Iron Pile system fits in the geotechnical industry toolbox compared with other foundation options .
