January 2024 ASCE-NH Section Lunch & Learn Webinar Summary
The 2024 ASCE-NH Section Lunch and Learn Webinar Series kicked-off with its January Event . Per usual , it was extremely well attended via Zoom Video Communications , bringing over 80 attendees together ! The Webinar Series continues to provide an excellent opportunity for ASCE-NH Members ( and Non-Members ) to receive PDHs from ASCE-NH ’ s educational initiative ; make sure to remain on the lookout for these fantastic presentations throughout the year .
The January Webinar was led by Charley Hanson ( Senior Project Manager ) and April Sargent ( Project Manager ), of Resource Management , Inc . ( RMI ), a leader in organic residuals management throughout the northeast . Throughout the presentation focus was given to the biosolids recycling workflow , which is the playbook for how RMI is able to recycle over 300,000 yards of residuals annually . For those that are unfamiliar with the term , biosolids are the wastewater solids that have been treated to be recyclable through land application to improve soils and crops . RMI has direct to land application Class A and Class B biosolids programs as well as the only merchant biosolids facility in New Hampshire . Of note , the NH facility produces a Class A biosolid that is permitted for distribution throughout NH and MA .
