These factors make it sound like you cannot do anything against mental health problems because most of them are external . However , through self-connecting , there are ways to work on your mental state .
Tip 1 : Ask for help Do you remember the discussed phases of the self-connection process ? It all begins with the acknowledgment of being worthy just by living . You are not only worthy when you succeed but also when you don ’ t . Asking for help is nothing to be ashamed of and it doesn ’ t mean you ’ re a failure . Asking for help can be to your parents , friends , or an expert , listen to what you need .
Tip 2 : Do something you ’ re good at When you feel stressed , or your head is overloaded with stuff that doesn ’ t make you happy , then put everything aside for a moment and do an activity you love and may completely lose yourself in . Doing something you ’ re good at , can boost your self-esteem .
Tip 3 : Keep in touch This tip is not only related to self-connection but also the connection with others . When you feel the need to speak to someone , don ’ t hesitate or tell yourself that the person probably doesn ’ t have the time to meet up . You can always ask and besides that , there are more ways of keeping in touch than just face-to-face . Give the person a call or send them a message . It prevents you from becoming too isolated from your surroundings .
