Walter Bouchard
WALTER BOUCHARD
GROVETON – Walter“ Walt” Albert Bouchard, 76, of Lost Nation Rd., Groveton, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side.
Walt was born on June 23,
1940 in Providence, R. I., a son of Walter A. and Dorothy( Pollard) Bouchard. He had been a resident of Groveton for most of his life.
Walt worked as a machine tender for 40 years at the Groveton paper companies before retiring from Wausau Papers in Groveton. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Groveton; the North Country ATV Club in North Stratford and the Groveton Shooting Range. He loved fishing; hunting; camping and riding his four-wheeler with friends. His most favorite thing to do was spend time with his family and friends.
Walt is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley( Benoit) Bouchard of Groveton; three children, Debbie( Normand) Boivin of Colebrook, Wayne Bouchard
of Exeter, and Randy( Carol) Bouchard of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Armand Boivin, Chad Boivin, Caitlin Bouchard, and Kyle Bouchard; one greatgranddaughter, Kennedy Boivin; three siblings, Pearl Morancie and Dave of Whitefield, Joan( Lewis) Lamontte of Lunenburg, Vt., and Mary( Frank) McCullock of Lancaster; one brother-in-law, Lawrence Benoit of Groveton; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two grandsons, Jason Boivin and Corey Boivin.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, from 11 a. m. until 2 p. m. at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will follow at 2 p. m. at the funeral home with Pastor Danielle Joy Rodrigues of the Groveton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be on June 10, 2017 at 11 a. m. in the Northumberland Cemetery.
