WSCA Board Meeting Minutes
Rachel will update the website with the updated scoring sheets . Sandy is also working on updating procedures as new chairs come and go . New committee chairs will be asked to review their procedures , and to note necessary changes needed .

Queen Eliza Chyba and Ms . Congeniality Alexandra Petty shared on their latest events with the rest of the court and plans for future events . The court attended the SCSCA banquet , the Blairview Saddle Shop Ladies ’ Night , and Lights on Broadway in Alexandria , MN . Upcoming events include bell ringing at the Mall of America , the Horse Crazy Market , NFR and a few more saddle club banquets .
Royalty : Bridget Behrns Absent . Nothing to report .
Rulebook : Cindy Ladd
The committee is in the process of going through the rulebook , noting what needs to be updated . Liz noted that the dates for membership renewal and late fees need to be updated , as well as the membership due increase .
Safety Committee : Corey Swartout Absent . Nothing to report .
Scholarship : Julie Gintner Nothing new to report . Just getting ready to start over for 2025 .

-Ethics of Open / Closed shows- The board is looking at ways to address what happens when the way a closed or open show is ran doesn ’ t align with WSCA ’ s idea of what a show should be for its members . Lynn-Ellen thinks this topic may be best addressed in the form of an executive committee , who will then be able to bring ideas and input back to the board .
Motion was made by James Duenow , seconded by Lori Taylor , to form an executive committee to address this issue , and report back to the board . Motion carried unanimously .
-Board of Directors Agreement was sent out to board of directors . If you have not completed it , please review and return to Lynn-Ellen by January .
-Lynn-Ellen presented her nominations for 2025 Committee Chairs one by one and were each reviewed and approved separately by the board . All nominees presented previously accepted their nominations from Lynn-Ellen .
Motion was made by Lori Taylor , seconded by Julia Northwick to approve James Duenow as the 2025 Championship Horse Show Committee Chair . Motion carried unanimously .
Motion was made by James Duenow , seconded by Julie Gintner to approve Marlys Mooney as the 2025 Drills & Squares Committee Chair . Motion carried unanimously .
Motion was made by Lori Taylor , seconded by Julia Northwick to approve Lynn-Ellen St . Martin as the 2025 Judges Committee Chair . Motion carried unanimously .
Motion was made by Lori Taylor , seconded by Paul Hansen to approved Ann Goebel as the 2025 Nominating Committee Chair . Motion carried unanimously .
