A Virtual World Welcome to Issue 7. A s usual the year is passing rather quickly, and there’s only a few short months left until the end of 2014. This is always a busy time of year for us, perhaps even more so this year – in recent months we’ve launched both South Africa’s original cloud brokerage, First for Cloud, as well as CBS Africa which supplies cloud marketplaces into Africa. This magazine issue is themed around virtualisation, a prominent technology in the modern IT landscape. As part of our focus on the modern datacentre, we ensure that virtualisation is at the forefront of our distribution offerings. Naturally our virtualisation vendors are some of the biggest in the business – VMware, IBM, Oracle and many others, they’re all part of our virtualisation offering. Even our newest vendor, Riverbed, plays in this space. At First Distribution, we’re focused on continuing to work hard for these last few months of the year, so that we may look back on 2014 as being yet another successful year for us.
