Why has Pivot3 been named on Forbes’ list of America’s Most Promising Companies?

Mike explained that Pivot3 were initially approached by VMware to build a VDI product, and worked with them to refine
it to run VMware View and VMware Horizon Suite.
Pivot3 runs its own vStac OS, which enables x86 hardware,
when connected in an array, to provide a single pool of storage to choose from. Pivot3’s ability to have RAID across not
only a box, but across an entire array enables a fail-over to
automatically stretch to other areas of the array.
The Pivot3 software virtualises servers within a storage
platform, which means that there is no need to buy any
server tech. Every one of the boxes has storage & computing, and every time one adds a box to an array, one
adds storage and computing. Setup is remarkably simple,
with one being able to connect the Pivot3 box to an iSCSI
network, and with one click of a mouse, it automatically configures itself into the array. There is no downtime necessary
on the virtual desktops already running on that array.
