New to Pickleball?

Here are a few basics to help you get started: The Serve
Serve underhand and diagonally across the court. The ball must clear the non-volley zone and land within the opposite service area.
The Double-Bounce Rule
After the serve, each team must allow the ball to bounce once before hitting it. After those first two bounces, players may volley the ball or play it after a bounce.
Mind the“ Kitchen”
The area immediately beside the net is called the non-volley zone— or“ the kitchen.” Players may not volley the ball while standing inside this area.
Keeping Score Traditional pickleball games are generally played to 11 points, and a team must win by two. Only the serving team can score a point.
Court Courtesy
9 Wait until play has stopped before entering a court.
9 Call the score clearly before serving.
9 Avoid walking behind players during a rally.
9 Return stray balls safely to nearby courts.
9 Make fair line calls and keep the game friendly.
9 When others are waiting, rotate off the court promptly.
Bring a paddle, court shoes, water and a willingness to have fun!
