Kayak Fun on Brooks Lake
Pool party requests are done through Greater Houston Pool Management. All pools except Austin Park, Heritage Colony, The Lakes, and the Aquatic Center Fitness Pool are available to reserve for private pool parties. There is a 14- day( 2 week) advance requirement for booking, reserving and payment for all pool parties.

Enjoy the Trails: Courtesy Reminders
First Colony’ s trails are shared by walkers, runners, cyclists, families and pets. A little courtesy helps everyone enjoy their time outdoors.
9 Keep to the right and pass carefully on the left.
9 Give an audible warning before passing.
9 Keep pets leashed and clean up after them.
9 Keep music and conversations at a considerate volume.
9 Slow down near children, pets and busy intersections.
9 Dispose of cups, bottles and other litter properly.
9 Be mindful of residents living near the trails.
9 Stay aware of your surroundings and enjoy the scenery!
Come have fun on Brooks Lake by checking-out a kayak at the Oyster Creek Boathouse located at 15910 Creekbend Drive, Sugar Land. The boathouse is open Saturdays and Sundays from April 18 through October 31.

At kayak check-out you will be required to leave a driver’ s license and sign a liability form. Non-residents may rent a kayak by buying a pass at the FCCSA office. A daily oneuse pass is $ 10.00 per person with a season pass cost of $ 50.00 per person. Make checks payable to FCCSA. Reservations are not ccepted as kayaks are checked out on a first-come, first-serve basis. Don’ t forget to bring along sun block and drinking water! There are no pets allowed in the kayaks. Life preservers are provided and must be worn by all participants.
