BEAUTIFICATION

Letter from the FCCSA Board of Directors President

FCCSA Owners:
As 2025 comes to a close, we are very happy with the progress made in this year. A quick summary is below:
• For years, previous Boards did not allocate money to replace landscaping that had been displaced by storms and hurricanes. Our area is looking a little worn and needs some love.
• The Board agreed with the Landscape Committee’ s three-year proposal and plan to beautify the First Colony area. There are three zones that will be tackled in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Upon completion, the entrances to neighborhoods and esplanades will have a much better look and enable us to better compete with the surrounding neighborhoods.
TREES
• Our beautiful large trees are a hallmark of our community. In the past, not much money has been dedicated to trimming and caring for these wonderful cultural parts of our landscaping.
• The Board allocated a special fund to trim and work toward keeping our trees healthy. The first trees to be trimmed will be those located at entrances to neighborhoods.
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
• The Board approved a new fountain in the lake by Double Lakes due to stagnation and other reasons. This has helped beautify that area
Payment Plan Request
• Two tennis courts were converted to six pickleball courts and the positive response has been overwhelming.
ASSESSMENT FEE
• This Board was told by the previous Board that it could not be done, but your current Board has cut enough waste in the budget to announce that for the second year in a row we will not have an increase in our annual dues.
• We are thankful to the staff for being willing to review the budget and see where wasteful spending could be cut. They did a great job.

A few more areas in which improvement has been made are communication, compliance guidelines and marketing. Regarding open communication, with the past Board owners had to register in advance of a Board Meeting to have the opportunity to stand before the Board and share 3 minutes of their thoughts before they were told their time was up and to sit down. Come to a Board Meeting now and you will find a much friendlier
