Letter from the FCCSA Board of Directors President
FCCSA Owners,
The first six months of 2025 is in the books. There has been good progress made in several areas.
BUILDING
For those that do not know, the FCCSA main building has significant foundation and structural issues that must be repaired. We are reviewing designs and making good progress. We hope to see both the aquatic and main building completed by end of first quarter of 2026.
COMMUNICATION
We are meeting with vendors regarding our website and FCCSA App. We are making changes to better communicate information and keep timely content on both.
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
Earlier in the year the Board voted to move forward on several projects. David Pella, our Executive Director, provides updates on these projects at each monthly Board Meeting. For those around Heritage Colony, you will notice a nice fountain in the lake which will provide aeration for the lake and help prevent stagnation. For those around Lexington Colony, you will see six new pickleball courts to help relieve the pressure of the overwhelming demand for this sport. Several other projects are making good progress as well.
LANDSCAPING
If you drive around FCCSA in Zone One of the Landscaping Plan, you will see entrances to neighborhoods looking better as well as some new landscaping beds in esplanades. We are making progress and things are looking better.

MOWING AND EDGING
Regarding our Beautification Theme for 2025, this is an area we need assistance from each owner. We have a few properties in most neighborhoods that are having trouble with mowing and edging. We are in the season where mowing and edging needs to be performed weekly to keep the neighborhood looking good. One or two houses on a street that do not mow and edge will pull the entire look of the street down. The Board has been meeting with the staff to shorten timeframes to deal with these houses. There really is no excuse for a house in First Colony to not be mowed and edged. That is a bare minimum. We will be dealing with these owners quickly and strongly. We may need to hire another inspector to keep a closer eye on this situation.
ELECTION
Our election for Board Members is coming up in a few months. Last year the electronic election went smoothly so we intend to follow that route again this year. As we had last year, there will be a computer available at the office to help those who need it.
