Pool Rules

• Only residents and their guests are permitted in the pool area .
• A FCCSA Pool Access Registration ( Cellbadge ) is required for entry – total of 8 people , including guests allowed entrance . Residents must always remain with guests and are responsible for their guests conduct .
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a person over the age of 18 .
• Only proper swimming attire manufactured specifically for swimming may be worn while in the pool ; no cutoff shorts , sweats , t-shirts , exercise pants , sandals , etc .
• Be considerate with your language , actions , and radios . Any radios that are deemed too loud by the lifeguards must be turned down or off .
• Children in wading pools must always be supervised by a person at least 18 years of age .
• Infants and children are required to wear diapers and plastic pants as needed .
• No running , horseplay , or loud and unruly conduct .
• Pets , roller skates , bicycles and skateboards are not permitted in the pool or pool area .
• No diving is allowed in shallow areas .
• No alcohol or tobacco products are allowed in the pool or pool area .
• No glass containers or breakables are allowed in the pool or pool area .
• Always obey the lifeguards . They have the authority to remove anyone disobeying the rules or endangering the safety of themselves or others from the pool area .
• Patrons should immediately report to a lifeguard any incident in which a person has urinated or defecated in or around the pool , so that all necessary steps are taken to cleanse the water .
• Private swim lesson instruction is prohibited .
• Organized groups of twelve ( 12 ) or more ( including groups of residents and guests ) are required to schedule a pool party reservation a minimum of 14 days in advance prior to the desired pool party date .
• Safety Breaks are conducted 10 minutes to the hour , every hour . During Safety Break all patrons must exit the pool .
• Procedure for Thunder : Patrons MUST exit the water for a minimum of 30 minutes .
• Procedure for Lightning : Patrons MUST exit pool facility for a minimum of 30 minutes .
• Lifeguards may impose additional rules to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons at the pool .

Pool Parties

Pool party requests are done through Greater Houston Pool Management . All pools except Austin Park , The Lakes and the Aquatic Center Fitness Pool are available to reserve for private pool parties . There is a 14-day ( 2-week ) advance requirement for booking , reserving and payment for all pool parties . Visit www . greaterhoustonpool . com , click on Pool Services , select Pool Parties . Swim at Your Own Risk Pools

The Aquatic Center Lap pool is a swim at your own risk facility . This means that lifeguards are not on duty at any time . Since this is a fitness swimming facility , there are NO areas of the pool designated for leisure swimming . There should be no children in the pool unless they can lap swim . Residents are required to submit a $ 100 deposit ( check only ) at the FCCSA office for the pool card . The lap pool is heated and operates year-round . Private swimming lessons and pool parties are not allowed .
The Austin Park pool and The Lakes pool operate as swim at your own risk facilities also . Access to these pools requires a pool card and a signed liability form . A $ 10.00 fee ( check only ) will be charged for a pool card . The pools open April 1 and close October 31 . Private swimming lessons and pool parties are not allowed .
