WORDS FROM OUR GM continued...
Grounds Report
Mike Veile, Grounds Superintendent
We will be continuing our maintenance of equipment
throughout the winter to better prepare for spring. When
we do not have snow cover we will be cleaning the course,
watering greens, staining signs, burning slash piles, removing
cattails and refurbishing course accessories.
Please remember that the ground stays frozen for most of
the day even when the temperatures are higher than normal.
We will be trying our best to accommodate golf without
restriction but we will also put a lot of emphasis on the
overall health and agronomy of the course. The more we
can help protect the course throughout the winter, along
with favorable weather, the better product we should have
coming into spring.
I would like to thank my staff on the Grounds Department
for an outstanding year. They are truly some of my best
friends and the reason that we are so successful as a team.
We get so caught up in the season that we sometimes forget
to recognize those that make this place tick. Chris Davis:
Assistant Superintendent, Rick O’Dell: Second Assistant
Superintendent, Beryl Snider: Mechanic and of course our
crew guys Steve Montabone, David Held and Andrew Cole.
These gentlemen are the core of what we do on Grounds. They
are very passionate, dedicated and prideful in everything that
they do. I am very blessed to be surrounded by such amazing
individuals that want nothing but the best for this Club.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!

look forward to a new and exciting year of
activities at the Club. Start off the year right
by joining your fellow members on Saturday,

what the year holds. We are all very excited about the
facelift to the Ballroom and are sure you will be too. From
5-7PM enjoy complimentary appetizers and drink specials
in the Main Lounge. Scott will present the latest plans of
the Stage 1 & 2 Club Project. Dinner specials will be offered
as well, the perfect way to kick things off at the Club.
“Mad About You & Chocolate Fondue” - Valentine’s Day at
the Club is getting a blast of something new and sweet.
You could say we are turning the evening upside down
and shaking things up. Bring that special someone up for
a night of exotic foods, romance and entertainment. As
guests enter a glass of bubbly or a Cupid’s Kiss Martini will
greet you; feed each other fresh strawberries and let the
evening begin. Chef Greg will be pulling out all the stops
in creating an array of food stations to transport your
taste buds to their highest sensations. Start with a warm
cheese fondue, shrimp cocktail, pomegranate Bruschetta
with chevre cheese & assorted gourmet olives. No forks on
this table! Feed your loved one these tasty romantic treats.
