After great weather in October and November that allowed many of us to play a few more rounds of golf or tennis matches on the courts, December rolled in with snow and frigid temperatures that kept most of us inside for much of the month. However, December is typically a month where the attention at the Club turns to banquets and celebrations that are a hallmark of Fort Collins Country Club. We welcomed our new Event Sales Manager, Heidi Elser, with a schedule of non-stop parties and banquets to get her quickly up to speed. Our annual Gingerbread House Decorating Party was a huge success and many members and non-members hosted great holiday celebrations at the Club. Thanks to Joel, Greg, and Heidi for making the experiences memorable and fun for our members and guests! As most of you are aware, the Club will be closed beginning on January 1, 2014 and will re-open on January 15. One of the changes that you’ll notice when you come out to the Club when we re-open is that the Ballroom will have received a makeover; complete with new carpet, paint, window treatments and light fixtures. Our improved Ballroom, combined with an excellent staff, will deliver a great experience for weddings, parties, and member events.
