Unlike Detroit, with its harsh, snowy winters, the Eastern Cape ' s Motor City has fair year-round weather. That makes it a great zone for motorsport, and the Algoa Motorsport Club is excited to host its first event in a motorsport formula surging in popularity across South Africa.
Focusing on the individual driver and their battle with the circuit, without the collision risk of traditional grid racing, time attack racing has become extremely popular worldwide. In South Africa, the formula caters to everyone. From novice drivers in daily drivers to experienced racers in dedicated time attack cars, the challenge of an all-out time attack lap has terrific appeal across the spectrum of South Africa’ s motorsport community.
The Algoa Motorsport Club serves a wide region and is known for its hospitality when hosting upcountry racers and competitors from the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. With the renowned Aldo Scribante circuit at its disposal, the Algoa Motorsport Club prides itself on hosting events with a community feel.
