Throughout the winter and spring , the Mid-Layer Jacket has been my go-to thermal liner under motorcycle jackets as well as my favorite off-bike casual jacket . The exterior of the jacket has the quilted stitching that ’ s popular on today ’ s outerwear , and the Harley-Davidson logo on the left chest is small and discreet . Zip off the sleeves , and it becomes a mid-layer vest . When it comes time to remove the jacket while on a ride , just unzip the cargo pocket at the lower back and fold the jacket inside for compact self-storage — which doubles as a pillow for that postlunch nap ! There are also two zippered handwarmer pockets and an inner chest pocket .
Two thoughtful features are the soft , microfiber-lined , 2-inch mock collar and the stretchy inset wrist cuffs , both of which help seal the jacket closed to keep warm air in and cold air out . A bungee cord and hem toggle at the bottom of the jacket seals it around the waist .
