NON INTEGRATED SUPPLY CHAIN

Non-integrated means it is not part of a whole, it is its single element. Where as integrated is a small parts that make a

whole. Supply chain management makes use of a growing body of tools, techniques, and skills for

coordinating and optimizing key processes, functions, and relationships.

Non-integrated is the opposite to integration, non- integration doesn’t put ‘too many eggs in one basket’ the firm allows enough small businesses and a independent business to work with.

An advantage for non-integration is that it doesn’t require a heavy investment because it is only carrying out small businesses. It always wouldn’t delay their services because their demands are not as high as an integrated firm. Although they are reliable they are also loyal and helpful because they are able to work with enough companies that don’t over flow and they can achieve to have orders placed for a necessary time.

A disadvantage would be that they don’t make as much profit because they are not setting themselves a high enough goal to achieve more. They are standing at an achievable goal. It may also be in competition with other firms because they are working at a lower cost and this means they have to compete to be the best. Integration doesn’t have to compete because they work with larger businesses and that helps them to invest in bigger plans.
