A store with 10 or more branches and attracts a large market. Topshop is a British fashion retailer of clothing, shoes, make-up and accessories with 500 stores across 40 countries. Topshop aims at the 16-30 female demographic and is a huge high street brand. They are based in Lonodn with there flagship store in the centre of Oxford Street. Topshop also have an online website to purchase from which offers in-store, next day, or standard delivery. They also have an email address for online help and FAQ's.

A Department store is a large store with various departments under one roof with four or more classes of consumer goods. John Lewis is an example of a department store be =cause it encomposes all of this critria. There are 46 stores throughout England, Scotland and Wales which employ over 38,000 staff. John lewis appeals to a wider target audience as the range of products is so large. The homewear and garden secotions appeal to those who are homeowners, but also Make-up counters like Mac and Benefit keep a younger audience interested.
