Hua Hin & Cha Am

Seaside playgrounds with broad appeal, whether you’ re royalty or mere mortals!
Blending beaches, culture, heritage and contemporary comforts, captivating Hua Hin is Thailand’ s original holiday resort. Its popularity dates back to the 1920s when the Thai royal family retreated to their summer palaces from Bangkok. Today, Hua Hin upholds an authentic air of sophistication, with its three miles of attractive sands flanked by good value hotels, luxury resorts and world-renowned spas. Evenings are for waterfront dining and friendly bartering at the lantern-lit night market before a nightcap in a wine bar or casual music venue. Neighbouring Cha Am may not rival Hua Hin for facilities, it instead tempts with a long casuarina-lined beach, calm turquoise waters, a delightfully laid-back vibe and several highly regarded seafood restaurants. Area attractions include a hilltop Buddhist temple, royal palaces including the stunning Maruekhathiyawan Palace, Pala-U Waterfall( a great butterfly watching spot), Sam Roi Yot National Park for birdwatching, and little-visited Kui Buri National Park, which protects around 300 wild elephants- the largest concentration in Thailand. For sports enthusiasts, there are all manner of water activities and the area is also home to several renowned golf courses.
