TR: For starters, what is the difference between billionaire boys club and ice
cream?
CB: Ice cream uses the cones and bones logo and BBC uses the astronaut
and helmet logo. They still come from the same big brain of Pharrell and his
world, and me as the creative director. I take his inspiration the things that
he likes and design around it and bring new ideas to the table. Ice cream is
very playful and whimsical, where BBC has more fine tuning to the
silhouettes and we do more pricey things with BBC, while ice cream is at a
more moderate price point. I have more freedom with the fabrics and
silhouettes. But we try not to look at them as completely separate things, it’s
the same family. They are like brother and sister.
