Prevent your family of getting involve on an eating disorder

Anorexia nervosa is a very difficult eating disorder. Those who suffer of this, refuse to have a healthy body weight.

They have fear of gaining weight and of have a distorted body image.

Anorexia controls your emotions. Anorexia controls your life.

According to the article published on February 2014 by Melinda Smith and Jeanne Segal on helpguide.org, there are two types of anorexia:

“In the restricting type of anorexia, weight loss is achieved by restricting calories, following drastic diets, fasting, and exercising to excess.

In the purging type of anorexia, weight loss is achieved by vomiting or using laxatives and diuretics.”

Eating and mealtimes are very stressful for those who are diagnosed with Anorexia. They only think in what they can or can´t eat. This causes them to loose their time. They only spend a little time with their friends and family and other activities they can enjoy.

They don´t lie only to themselves, they also lie to every single person that is around them. They lie to their parents and friends. They tell them that they had already eaten. This is a great way to skip mealtime.

People with anorexia are lost about all what is happening around them, they are only focused on them, on their weigh, and on how they look.
