How does music class enhance creativity?
Music is all about creativity, it’ s the way you play and the way you switch tones. When playing the melody, some people strike the instrument, while others pour out their emotions which creates a great rhythm and melody. Music fosters creativity by covering various techniques. As you learn about these techniques, you quickly recognize which ones are suitable for playing a specific rhythm. Creativity also plays a role when tuning an instrument to the correct pitch; notes can switch from high to low. In this way, your ear becomes a creative tool, choosing whether the pitch is accurate. If one of your strings is too low, you need to adjust the instrument’ s pitch either higher or lower depending on the instrument.
Can taking a music class in high school help with stress?
When transitioning to high school, many students feel a lot of pressure in 9th grade due to the new and different environment. This stress can sometimes become overwhelming. Music class can be a great way to release stress, especially when playing an instrument. Through music, you can express your emotions within the notes you play.
Some music classes are scheduled for the first block of the day, while others take place in the last block. Starting your day with music can be a refreshing experience, although it ultimately depends on your individual schedule and skill level— whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student. I have had music class during the first block for two years straight, and it has been quite peaceful. I know friends who had music class in the last block, and they found it to be a wonderful way to end the day. On days when they had tests and felt stressed, playing music helped them relax and clear their minds of negative thoughts.
After sharing my personal experience of how music class has impacted my life, it’ s clear that music covers various aspects of creativity. It can be an important class to have in the back of your mind while studying for the future. Music class isn’ t just a subject, it’ s a place where passion can truly shine.
