Even four-legged friends can get in on the fun this season . Community Bark West members ( and their humans ) are invited to three free events at the dog park as part of our Yappy Hour Series :
Dog Days of Summer Th , August 31 • 4-6 pm
Happy Pawlidays Th , September 21 • 4-6 pm
Howl-a-ween Sa , October 14 • 10 am- 12 pm
Sample a late summer treat at Historic Wagner Farm ’ s first-ever Tomato Fest from 1-5 pm , Saturday , September 9 . It ’ s free to attend ; purchase tickets for activities and tastings onsite .
We are conjuring up lots of fun this October with Halloween happenings all around the park district , including a Trick-or-Treat Trail , some Frozen Frights and A Family Halloween .
And for a very special event , we are excited to celebrate The Grove Heritage Association ’ s 50th Anniversary . The Grove Heritage Association started as a small and dedicated group of local residents who worked to save The Grove , the ancestral home of the Kennicott Family here in Glenview . Celebrate the Grove Heritage Association with us on Sunday , September 10 from 10 am to 2 pm , where The Grove will host an anniversary exhibit , family activities and special surprises .
