CDABP OUTREACH WORKSHOPS
WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS
In the first half of 2025, Merriwether & Williams Insurance Services( MWIS) hosted six workshops with elected officials to inform CDABP participants on how to navigate contracting opportunities with the City of L. A., L. A. Metro, and the County of L. A. Attendees heard from elected officials and representatives of various government departments about their contracting programs.
Workshops were held with the offices of L. A. County Supervisors Janice Hahn, Kathryn Barger, and Hilda L. Solis, as well as L. A. City Councilmembers Monica Rodriguez, Eunisses Hernandez, and Heather Hutt. Below are summaries from each of the workshops.

“ For too long, contracting opportunities have been out of reach for many businesses that don’ t have the resources to devote to getting through what can be a very complicated process,” she said.“ For years, I have been a champion of breaking down these barriers and giving more local, small, and diverse businesses the support they need to compete with bigger companies and win these contracts.”
