When comparing student pre- and post-survey responses, I realized that student knowledge of the writing process grew to include the many steps authors work through to produce a story. To demonstrate the shift in understanding, I have employed word clouds to represent the qualitative data and center participant voices. The size of each word in the image is proportional to the number of times the word is present in the survey data. Figures 2 and 3 represent student knowledge at the beginning and end of the study.
