The MUN welcomes middle and high school students to join . One fun fact is that members of the MUN are referred to as MUNers . MUNers can develop skills corresponding to the SLAS Core Values ( Proficient Communicator , Confident Individual , Creative Thinker , Compassionate Citizen ). The MUN allows students to confidently express their opinions and encourages them to think critically and find the best possible solution to certain world issues . It also helps them become skilled speakers and great listeners .
