Hello from the Central Area ! I am honored to be elected to a second term as one of your District representatives in the 5th Northern Region . Although 2021 has been a challenging year following the pandemic , we are starting to see some light at the end of a long tunnel . Now that I have completed my first year as D-Capt ., let me tell you about the four Divisions in the Central area that I have had the pleasure of working with .
Division 1 serves the Northern area in Delaware between three flotillas . Among these members are seven Coxswains , eleven Boat Crew , nine Vessel Examiners , two RBS Visitors , five Instructors , one Air Crew , one Aid to Navigation Verifier and one Aux PA Specialist ( AUXPA1 ). They have a total of 63 members . With dwindling and maturing membership two of the three flotillas have sixteen members or less . The other flotilla has thirty-four with only a few active members that hold several positions . We are advancing .
Division 4 serves the Southeastern Pennsylvania area from the Schuylkill River to the PA / DE state line with seven Flotillas . Division 4 has a total of 202 members which comprise of seven Coxswain , thirteen crew , twenty eight Vessel Examiners , eighteen Program Visitors , twenty Instructors and two Aid to Navigation Verifiers .

Recently , I had the pleasure of accompanying Division 4 to Fort Delaware and Pea Patch Island for a day of face to face fellowship . It was amazing . Still , we move forward !
Division 12 serves the Southern area in Delaware from Dover to Bethany Beach . They have a total of 117 members within five flotillas . Among these members are three Coxswain , eleven Boat Crew , thirty-three Vessel Examiners , twenty RBS Visitors , twenty-seven Instructors , eight ATON Verifiers , six Culinary Assistant ’ s , fifteen Watch standers and there are some that will go into REYR at the end of the year . On a positive note , we are interviewing a member that has been active for over sixty one years , yes ( 61 ). I don ’ t want to ruin the story , you ’ ll just have to wait . Still , we move onward !
Division 17 serves the Trenton , NJ area along the Delaware River to just north of Philadelphia , PA . It also runs upriver to the state borders of PA and NJ with four active flotillas . These members also have four Coxswain , ten Boat crew , nine TCO , five ATON verifiers , thirty Vessel Examiners , 7 RBS Visitors , fourteen Instructors , one Culinary Assistant and one PA Specialist . Some will go into REYR at the end of the year as well .

These Divisions are all run by great DCDR ’ s who make my job more manageable ! Thank you for all you do . Looking forward to an inspiring 2022 .
