Eugene Demekhin
Young Achiever in Health Sciences
Eugene Demekhin has made significant contributions early in his career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and as a Certified Allied Health Instructor (AHI). Eugene is a seasoned speaker in seminars organized by the Utah State Society of American Medical Technologists (AMT). He was invited to do a presentation at the AMT National Meeting in 2020. He is an alumni member of the Lambda Beta Society, which is the national honor society for respiratory therapists. He has been practicing also as respiratory therapist in the clinical setting in Salt Lake City. Within three (3) years after completing his associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, he has earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration- health care in 2018, and his MBA degree in 2020. He has helped many students prepare for the national certification examination. Credit goes to him for the high success rate of students who passed the national board. Eugene currently serves as the program director and instructor of respiratory therapy at Idaho State University. He recently received recognition for excellence in teaching presented by the Health Occupations Department.
