pay the way USDA scholarships National Scholars Program: Get full-tuition and so much more! FULL-TUITION TO FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT Among the many scholarships offered by Tuskegee University, is the USDA/1890 National Scholars Program scholarship in the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences (CAENS). The program is specifically for students pursuing an Agriculture or Agriculture-related bachelor's degree. The scholarship provides full tuition, fees, books, room and board, and a summer internship. The summer internship will convert to full-time employment with USDA after graduation. The USDA/1890 National Scholars Program is very competitive because of the large pool of potential applicants (from 19 participating universities) and the limited amount of money for the program. The eligibility requires High School applicants to be a U.S. citizen who has applied for or accepted admission at one of the nineteen 1890 Land Grant Universities. You must have a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate with a high school GPA of 3.0 unweighted or better (on a 4.0 scale) and have a score of 1080 or more on the SAT or a composite score of 21 or more on the ACT. Finally, the applicant must demonstrate leadership and community service. The scholarship provides full tuition, fees, books, room and board, and a summer internship. The summer internship will convert to full-time employment with USDA after graduation. THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR THE 2021 USDA/1890 NATIONAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM IS JANUARY 31, 2021.
