New School Cl ubs

By Kyle S .
This school year Alpha Omega Academy is looking to make more ways for its students to interact with one another virtually . AOA has had clubs for students a long time and they have become quite popular among the students . In the past , AOA has had clubs for cooking , writing , reading , and even making the newspaper . AOA is now offering an even wider variety of clubs so that more students can attend clubs that may better match their interests .
Many students that started school before September received a message asking them to take a survey detailing what their interests are and what types of clubs they would like to see at AOA . The survey in the message allowed students to list all the potential clubs that they would like to join and if they would be willing to be student leaders if their desired clubs were provided . Once they received enough replies to the survey , all the responses were read to see if there would be enough interest in certain clubs for them to become reality .
The clubs that were decided upon were : Art Club , Baking Club , Black Student Union and Alliance , Book Club , Craft Club , Current Events Club , Drama Club , Gaming Club , a High School prayer meeting , a Junior High prayer meeting , Lego Club , and Minecraft Club . There also are now some K-6th grade-specific clubs such as the Elementary Game Club , Literature
Corner , S . T . E . A . M ., Together Tuesday , and the Elementary Book Club . These clubs have been added to Alpha Omega Academy ? s existing clubs which are the Blue Umbrella Student Newspaper , The Cooking Club , P7 Christian Club , the Writer ? s Block Creative Club , and The National Honor Society . The complete list is available on the well-known ? Online Classroom Schedule ? link in the virtual campus . Thanks to these new additions , students at AOA will have more fun ways to interact this year while trying out all the new clubs , many of which are already underway .
The new clubs are not the only new school related addition , though . There is also a new feature on the student dashboard allowing students to easily view the dates and times of clubs and classes without having to leave the dashboard . Instead of being listed randomly on the Online Classroom Schedule page , classes and clubs will now be listed under the ? Upcoming Events ? window or the ? School Calendar ? tab . Students can either view the classes that are happening soon directly from the dashboard , or they can click on ? see more events ? to view a calendar with classes being shown for the whole month . A simple click on the event name will provide a window detailing more about the event . This new feature will make organization easier for those attending both student clubs and classes hosted by teachers .
