WINTER TRACK & FIELD

The high school winter track and field team has been on a roll this season, showing incredible dedication and talent in every event. Under the guidance of Coach Ciccone, the team has been working hard to improve their speed, strength, and agility, and it has paid off with a series of impressive performances.
The team has been competing in a range of events, from sprints and hurdles to jumps and throws. They have demonstrated exceptional skill and technique in each event, showcasing their versatility and athleticism. Jake DeJulia broke the school record in the 200 meter and the 400 meter with times of 22.6 seconds and 50.4 seconds. Nicholas Suero broke the school record in the 600 meter dash with a time of 128 seconds. The boys 4x4 team of Jake DeJulia, Nicholas Suero, Michael Banach and Daniel Mahouk qualified for the state meet. The girls 4x4 team of Briana Reyes, Melissa Collins, Helin Kayar and Deborah Wang also qualified for the state meet. These relay teams success is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the team as a whole. Skyler McGuire qualified for the
state meet in the 2 mile event.
The team's success is not just limited to individual performances. They have also excelled in relay events, working together as a team to achieve their goals. The relay events require coordination, teamwork, and trust, and the winter track and field team has shown that they have all these qualities in spades. Beyond their athletic achievements, the winter track and field team has also demonstrated a great sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship. They have supported each other through tough workouts and competitions, and have shown respect and kindness to their competitors.
Overall, the winter track and field team has had an outstanding season. They have shown incredible athleticism, dedication, and sportsmanship, and have made us proud to be a part of this school.
