TAKE LEAGUE
Saddle Brook placed first in the NJIC divisional game against Elmwood Park on Friday, January 20th. Saddle Brook celebrated their 53-52 game against the Crusaders. It was a nail biting game, which resulted in victory for the Falcons. The two teams battled for the NJIC American Division championship, in which they has both previously defeated 4 other teams including Garfield, Manchester, Lodi, and Patterson Charter.
It was a full team effort, with Ella Marchesani leading the team with a stunning 38 points, along with a buzzer beater to win the game in the last 5 seconds. Helping Ella, Saoirse Twomey assisted with 9 points, Mia Ianneillo with 10, and Prisha Patel with 2. The girls celebrated their win with their coaches and teammates and successfully secured the league championship title after an outstanding effort. The girls swept their league with a record of 8-0, and a record over .500 for their independent games.
