Malcolm Couden Receives Prestigious National Recognition
The music department also celebrated a major professional achievement as Director of Choral Studies Malcolm Couden received the 2026 NFHS High School Music Award.
Since beginning his teaching career in 2005, Couden has served as the Director of Choral Studies at Saddle Brook Middle/High School, inspiring generations of student musicians through his passion, musicianship, and leadership. His dedication to excellence has made a lasting impact on both the school community and the broader choral music community. This prestigious award recognizes his outstanding contributions and commitment to music education.
Success at Busch Gardens Music Festival

Honoring Community Through Music
In addition to their competitive successes, members of the Saddle Brook Marching Band proudly represented the school and community by performing in the annual Saddle Brook Memorial Day Parade. Their participation helped honor local veterans while continuing a cherished community tradition.
