This Rising Falcon Award proudly recognizes Adrianna Mays, a student whose quiet determination, resilience, and commitment to others make her truly exceptional.
Adrianna embodies the idea of "quiet excellence." While she may not seek the spotlight, her accomplishments speak volumes. Determined to achieve her goals, she accelerated her path to graduation by completing summer coursework while simultaneously pursuing her passion for writing. She has already completed her first novel and is currently hard at work on her second.
This year, Adrianna also made an immediate impact in DECA. In her first season of competition, she excelled at both the Regional and State levels, earning a coveted qualification to the National DECA Conference in the field of Marketing. Beyond her academic and competitive success, she serves as a dedicated leader in several school organizations, consistently contributing her time, energy, and creativity to benefit her peers.
Perhaps most inspiring is Adrianna’s ability to transform personal challenges into opportunities to support others. She has become a strong advocate for those whose voices are often overlooked, demonstrating empathy, courage, and compassion in everything she does. Her talents in journalism and digital editing further showcase her creativity and commitment to meaningful storytelling.
Looking ahead, Adrianna hopes to become a film director focused on telling the stories of underserved communities and creating opportunities for those who are often underrepresented. Given her talent, determination, and heart, there is little doubt that she will make a lasting impact wherever her journey takes her.
