BEST JERSEY SHORE SPOTS

Looking for tranquility and a laid back vibe?

Avon-By-The-Sea Beach:

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful beach that doesn’t become packed even in peak season, Avon-By-The-Sea Beach is just that. This beach is two miles south of Asbury Park and is open all year round. Along Avon-By-The-Sea’s boardwalk are a small handful of restaurants which offer oceanfront views and outdoor seating. I visit Avon-By-The-Sea when I’m looking for a quiet, relaxed day by the ocean, so if you’re looking for endless entertainment or amusement rides, this is likely not the best spot for you. But, if you are in search of a family friendly, beautiful beach scattered with small eateries, Avon-By-The-Sea is definitely worth checking out. Going South along the Garden State Parkway, get off at Exit 100B.

Spring Lake:

Similar to Avon-By-The-Sea, Spring Lake Beach is three miles south and is nestled in a serene coastal town. The beach itself is relaxing and adorned with a two mile long boardwalk. The town of Spring Lake, especially in the heart of the downtown area around 3rd Avenue, is lined with classy boutiques, specialty restaurants, and surf shops. This beach is family friendly, has an array of shopping and dining, and is not very crowded in comparison to other spots down the Jersey Shore. Spring Lake is extremely clean because no food or drinks are allowed on the sand, which could be a drawback for some. Still, the beach’s soft sand and gentle waves add to the peacefulness of the town making it a picturesque escape that really makes you feel the coastal summer vibes. Going South on the Garden State Parkway, get off at Exit 98 to check this spot out.
