Boys Qualify for State Tournament in Breakout Season
For the first time in history the Saddle Brook High School Boys Lacrosse team qualified for the 2025 NJSIAA Boys Lacrosse State Tournament. Finishing with a strong 12-5 overall record and a 6-1 mark in the NJILL Kirst Division, the Falcons have officially soared as a team to watch in North Jersey lacrosse. Under the leadership of Head Coach Theodore Nosch, the Falcons combined gritty defense with explosive offensive play to dominate much of their competition. Their hard work culminated in a berth in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 1 state tournament. This is an achievement years in the making.
At the heart of Saddle Brook’s success was sophomore goalie Jonathan Shnaper, who emerged as one of the top goalkeepers in New Jersey with 225 saves on the season. Shnaper was on the state leaderboard for saves for much of the season, anchoring a defense that limited opponents to just 92 goals across 17 games. On the offensive end, Chris Lamboy lit up the scoreboard and earned his place on the statewide goals leaderboard with 49 goals.
