AN INTERVIEW with GIANFREDI
If you ever were to pass by the history wing in our school, you would have undeniably felt Mr Gianfredi radiating energy. So the Falcon News Paper took the job of interviewing him to get a closer look at his personality for everyone who has, had, or wants to have him as a history teacher.
What kind of hobbies are you into?
“ I really like sports. I like watching basketball. Big college basketball fan. Big Yankee fan, big giant fan. And I mean my side job is basically my hobby. I sell baseball cards and I do live streaming with that.”
What about your infamous bobble heads and game cards collection?
“So cards. I was actually potty trained on cards. The true story. You get rewards like oh a visa gift card or whatever. I used to get packs of baseball cards for doing the old pee pee in the potty. I started collecting bobbleheads. I mean, I like collecting things. Obviously cards, bobble heads, all that kind of stuff. But I started collecting bobbleheads when I first started teaching. There was a teacher in my high school who was a history teacher, and he had a bunch of bobble heads on his desk of different presents and stuff like that. And my sister thought it'd be a pretty cool idea
to kind of copy that when she knew I got the history job. So she got me a couple of them. I thought it was cool. “
How many bobbleheads do you own?
“Probably about 100. Yeah, it's about 50 of them here and about 50 of them at home.”
Most expensive game card?
“That I have right now,
probably Bobby Witt.”
Favorite bobble head?
“My favorite bobblehead. That's a good question. Probably my Aaron Judge Jedi bobblehead, because one, I like Star Wars, two, I love Aaron Judge, three I like the Yankees, and four, it came out on my birthday, because my birthday is May 4th, So, like, May the fourth be with you. It's like, you know, so every year the Yankees put out a Star Wars bobblehead on my birthday, I actually went to that game to get it. So that was a good one.”
So when did you want to become a teacher and why?
“So, pretty early. I wanted to be a teacher, probably. Yeah, like pretty early. Elementary schoolish.
