LADY FALCONS LAX Displays Promising Talent This Season

By: Prisha Patel

Returning Players

The 2022-2023 Girls Lacrosse season was one of rebuilding, gaining knowledge, and learning technique. After a successful season last year that saw many seniors graduate, this team started to rebuild a broken program at Saddle Brook.  This season was used to create an environment to allow more people to learn the sport of lacrosse. There were a few returning varsity players from last season such as Prisha Patel, Natalie Rosales, Saoirse Twomey, and Frankie Accetta. These juniors, along with seniors Megan Holdsworth and Taylor Moreno, carried the team and helped the new members build skills.

Graduating Seniors

This season we celebrate our Seniors, Megan Holdsworth and Taylor Moreno. Both are exceptional players that have been contributing to the lacrosse program since they were in elementary school. They both showed excellent leadership that allowed them to teach basic skills and techniques to all the new incoming players this year. Both of them had successful seasons filled with a mix of fun, injuries, teamwork, sportsmanship and adversity.

Senior Day

The girl’s Senior Day against Mary Help of Christian Academy was one the biggest highlights of the season. This was the Lady Falcon's first win during the season. Winning 15-6, the girls were proud of their win that showed commitment towards rebuilding their team. The team overcame problems from previous games, and Coach D and Lo are ecstatic to see where these players could take the team next year with practice during the offseason.
