The Saddle Brook High School spring musical, “Beauty and the Beast” was presented at the Charles Broadhurst Auditorium this March. It has been called a “tale as old as time”, and it is. You might remember the Disney animated version from 1991 or the more recent live action version from 2017. Maybe you’re a literary buff and you read the original story written by Linda Woolverton. No matter the time or how you first encountered the story of Beauty and the Beast, everyone had a blast coming to relive the tale of young Belle, the bookish young girl who discovers that love can change how we view others. The students and staff worked hard for months to polish up their dances, vocals, and speaking parts. The work showed as they put on a very entertaining production led by Frank Ortega. The costumes, sets, and performances were absolutely amazing from the start to the finish of this sensational performance! The entire community that came to see the show were blown away by the high school student’s mature and magnificent performances.
