Perseverance, Progress, and a View Ahead

The Saddle Brook Boys Soccer team wrapped up the 2025 season with a 4–13 overall record (3–7 in the NJIC Meadowlands), but the numbers only tell part of the story. Under the leadership of Head Coach Christopher Alfieri, the Falcons demonstrated resilience, steady improvement, and individual excellence throughout a challenging schedule.

One of the season’s standout performers was Brandon Betances, who emerged as the team’s offensive leader and finished as the Falcons’ statistical leader with nine goals. Betances consistently provided a scoring threat and set the tone for Saddle Brook’s attack, helping keep the team competitive in close matches.

The Falcons earned several hard-fought victories during the season, including wins over Leonia (2–1), Pompton Lakes (2–1), Lodi (5–4), and Wood-Ridge (1–0). The team’s five-goal performance against Lodi highlighted its offensive potential, while the shutout win at Wood-Ridge demonstrated defensive discipline and focus late in the season.  Saddle Brook also competed in the Bergen Invitational Tournament, gaining valuable experience against strong competition. While the results did not fall in their favor, the tournament appearances reflected the program’s commitment to growth and exposure at a higher level.
