EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH MS. FOWLIE

1. What inspired you to become a principal?
I wanted to be in charge of a school where students can enjoy it as much as I do. I wanted students to have opportunities.
2. What is your favourite part about being a principal?
I like seeing joy on kids' faces and seeing kids work through challenges.
3. If you could change anything in the world, what would it be?
I would change the way people look and pick on each other. A world where there is no bullying on how you look, what games you play, what interests you have.
4. As a student, did you have a dream of being a principal?
No, I actually didn't. But I wanted to be a teacher since grade two.
5. What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my dog, rollerblading, reading fiction books, listening to music, and playing Yahtzee
I also like to spend time with my family, and play the guitar, piano and tuba
6. What was your favourite sport as a student?
Hockey. I've been playing since I was five and I still enjoy playing.
7. How do you like being the principal at Fletcher's Creek Sr. Public School? It's wonderful. The students are great kids. They are hardworking, respectful, and fun.
8. What quote do you follow by? "Never judge a person until you have walked a mile in their moccasins."
