Terry Fox Run A Smashing Success!

Wow, the Terry Fox run was great this year at Fletcher’s Creek! This event was held on September, 27th, 2012 and was arranged by Mrs. Wyatt. The weather was amazing which made the run more enjoyable and everyone was running for cancer awareness. Terry Fox runs are held all across the country with the goal of continuing Terry’s dream of raising money for cancer research. With a “Ready, Set, Go”, the running had started and everyone ran with all their efforts to get as many laps as they could. While everyone was running, there were a lot of students cheering on to make people more excited and energetic. After the Terry Fox run, there was a delicious bake sale to collect money for cancer. There were also raffle draws and Terry Fox challenges in which you were donating money and receiving cool prizes. ”It was out of this galaxy”, said Ms. Porter.
