She was a single mother at the time
too, and her daughter was just one
year older than mine. For seven years
she gave me her daughter’s clothes
when she grew out of them. They were
great pieces too. Name brand and
clean! Now I know many turn their
noses up at the thought of taking
someone else’s hand- me-downs, but I
was grateful! When it was back to
school time, I was all set. Thank God!
When I needed help with my car
payment my family and friends were
there to help. My mother always made
sure that my daughter and I had food
to eat.
Don’t be ashamed of the blessing God
may send your way. It may not come in
the form you expect, but it will bless
you. He knows what your needs are,
and He wants to supply them for you.
God knows what we need before we
even ask Him. You may feel alone, but
you are not. God is watching over you.
No matter the circumstances that led
to your being a single mom, hold your
head up high. Show your children pride
and dignity. Teach them that God is
your and their provider.
Yes there will be tough days, but you
will keep getting through them. Seek
God and he will allow your life to
progress for the better. I know because
he did it for me. I relocated to a new
city, I have a new position with a great
income and I’m looking to go up from
here.
