Sha ' Givens is an extraordinary woman of faith and works. With a mission to help ' the girl child ' who has fallen victim to early marriage, sex trade, illiteracy, tribal wars, and female genital mutilation- she created the I Can Fly and Butterfly Project thousands of miles away from her native home in Los Angeles, California. As I caught up with Ms. Givens to discuss her projects in hopes of raising awareness and donations to further her cause, she openly granted me access to her mission in Machakos, Kenya where she currently lives.
