killing of authorities, role-play
using demons, etc.
Parents argue that their children
know fantasy from reality- and
most do. However, when engaging in role-playing, you are
taking on that character. You
are in a sorcerer’s shoes. You
feel the power of casting spells,
or the rush of evading the law.
That type of evil permeates and
infiltrates a child’s environment
and thoughts. It acts as a temptation, and takes the focus off of
God. Children are impressionable, and often these evil characters can leave a door open to
the demonic. It lures children
into deceiving themselves that
spells are “just play”, but entertains the thought of “what if”. It is
that curiosity that evokes trouble.
We are to guard our children,
and raise them up according to
the Word so that they may be
a light to our generation. It involves actively raising our kids.
We need to be involved in what
they are interested in. It is too
easy to just zone out, and barely
interact. We can’t leave our children’s spiritual well-being up to
others. God gave these blessings to us, and we will be held
accountable for the outcome.
