What is the main message you hope readers take away from your book ? It ’ s ok not to be ok . I ’ m hoping to give readers permission to lament and to invite God into the hard things in life that maybe they are afraid to talk about on social media or in their own home . I want to give people permission to lament and know that God listens to their honest prayers .
What life circumstances shaped your writing of this book ? I had a pretty traumatic past and upbringing . I was orphaned by the time I was 13 . My father left the family when I was nine and suffered from severe mental ill-
