Mushroom Barley Soup 6 sliced carrots 2 stalks of celery Dash of garlic powder 2 tsp season salt or to taste Cup of raw whole barley Fill an 8 qt pot halfway with water Add 2 pieces of flanken or 4 marrow bones. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low flame for 2 hours 6 sliced carrots 2 stalks of celery Dash of garlic powder 2 tsp season salt or to taste Cup of raw whole barley Sautee above vegetables. Let simmer for 30 mins on medium flame.
