Unconditional Love
This Lent I started to follow a new
Bible study about Easter but I did not
get far before I got stuck. It was on the
verse from Mark 14:3-8, the story about
the woman anointing Jesus’ head with
ointment of pure nard.
again after my “Hit the wall” period in my
life, my faith have grown tremendously.
I have been pondering upon this verse
and brought it into my heart and prayers.
It is a wonderful story that I haven’t paid
much attention to earlier. One of the
things I have been pondering over is why

just have poured it over Jesus without
breaking it. I guess that if you give away

you could.”
This story is a good reminder that
loving Jesus is all I have to do and that
small things done in faith and love also

While searching the Internet for interpretation and thoughts I came across a
sermon, “Overwhelming love” by Melvin
Newland and he came up with three
interesting conclusions, that; “she found
a way to express her love, she expressed
her love extravagantly and she did what
she could.”
I think that this is a good way to interpret this story and I can relate to it. Very
often when I think about Jesus sacrificing himself for mankind and me, it’s
hard for me to take in that kind of love.
One way I express myself is by letting
out water through my eyes. I think that
it is important that we find our personal
way of expressing our faith an BfVVƖ
