was a small box with “ANTIDOTE”. Hansel understood that it was something wrong there and took a pill of antidote for
himself. The boy went back to sleep in his room.
Next morning he woke up and didn’t see Gretel in the room. Hansel started looking for his sister but the old woman
stopped him.
“Drink it”, ordered she.
He boy looked at that strange liquid.
“What is it?” asked he.
“Just drink it!” said the woman aggressively.
Hansel understood that it was the poison he saw yesterday, but he knew that if he had drunk the antidote the poison
wouldn’t have had any effect on him.
He said that he felt unwell and he needed to go to the bathroom. While he was going to the bathroom, h e couldn’t
understand what he should to do. Then he remembered the conversation, which he had heard at night.
The old woman talked with someone about her plans to put a spell on children. Hansel realised that this poison was
meant for children to make them obey the woman. The boy came out and drank the poison. A sly smile appeared on the
old woman`s face. Everything blurred in Hansel’s eyes and he felt down. When he opened his eyes and saw Gretel, they
were in the room. Hansel ran up to Gretel and hugged her, but she didn’t move. He was puzzled. Soon he realized that
he had to be still as well. The old woman came to the room.
