Healthy Pumpkin Hummus Hummus is very simple to make if you have a food processor or a blender. The ingredients can all go in together and be whizzed for a few seconds. Keep the seasonings mild for this recipe, not all children will be used to these types of flavors. Remember to check allergies before you start and taste as you go to find the flavour you want. The hummus can be served with crackers, cucumber, lettuce, sugar snap peas or any green vegetable. Ingredients • • • • • • • • • 2 cans chickpeas drained Half a small pumpkin, cooked 2 tablespoons tahini 2 cloves garlic 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 teaspoon paprika Directions • Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add more olive oil if it's too thick. • To make the hummus look like a pumpkin, make a green stem using sugar snap peas or a slice of cucumber. Serve and enjoy!
